This isn't much, I know...It's my first Home Page, still very much under construction, so be patient, ok? Things WILL improve, I promise!
Yes, this is me, with the biggest bass I've ever caught...so far!
- Guess you might have figured that out already, huh? Being on the water at sunrise on a peaceful day is the closest to God I'll ever get here on Earth, in my opinion. It's really quite wonderful. I have a well rigged bass boat (which doubles as a water-skiing toy!) & travel all over Texas pursuing the elusive largemouth bass...sometimes just for pleasure, occasionally for tournament competition. Texas has some of the world's best bass fishing, so I try to take advantage of that fact. Unfortunately, having a job hinders that all too often!
- My family is pretty special. Born & raised in Brick Town, a small coastal community in East Central New Jersey, I moved to Houston as soon as I was old enough to do so. Growing up in a typically divorced, dysfunctional family, I was anxious to see what else the USofA had to offer. My older brother had been here for a few years by then, & my sister & her husband had moved here 6 months before me. My other sister was in the Air Force, stationed in Berlin, but also moved to Houston when she was done. She & her family have since moved to Nebraska, but our mother has retired to the beaches of Galveston, Tx., and we are all closer in our relationships than ever before.
- This is something I do voraciously! An incomplete list of favorite authors would have to include JRR Tolkien, Frank Herbert, Carlos Castaneda, Stephen King, Anne Rice, among such old classics as Charles Dickens (Great Expectations is one of the Best!), John Steinbeck, Thoreau, & others. Numerous computer, fishing, & news magazines, as well as the constant daily newspaper fill out my reading habits! So little time...
- I'm also a member of a 12-step group ( haven't had a drink since 3-9-87!), as well as a member of the National Stuttering Project (yes ,I'm a stutterer!), so those interests help shape my life & behavior in other ways. I occasionally do a little community volunteer work (never enough), & have donated over 27 gallons of blood plasma & platelets to the regional blood center over the past 5 or 6 years.
-Then, of course, there's this darn computer! It takes up its fair share of my time, considering I'm quite the amatuer still, & always trying to learn what I don't yet know, & how to do what I DO know, better.
-There's just not enough hours in the day!
